Role Scope
EUC Deskside Support + Data Centre & Physical Facilities Support
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain documents, logbooks, and checklists
- Follow customer change procedures
- Ensure DC ambience standards (cabling, cleanliness, safety, walkway clearance)
Data Centre Smart Hands Activities
- Reseating cable connections (LAN cabling CAT5/6)
- Backup tape handling (maintenance & rotation)
- DC inventory maintenance and updates
- Routine checks and escalating alerts to Infra Team
- Physical movement and handling of hardware
- Racking, stacking, commissioning, decommissioning, recycling
(Bulk work >10 devices treated as project work) - Storeroom management
End User Computing Support - Installation and management of:
- Laptops
- Desktops
- Printers
- Scanners
- MFDs and peripherals
- Workstation OS and software installation/configuration
- Printer installation (physical)
- Coordinate part/unit replacement with vendors
- Endpoint level support for VDI (SOP/KB based)
- Troubleshooting and resolving endpoint incidents
- User communication during disruptions via client tools
- Windows Firewall configuration as per SOP (escalate to network team if needed)
- Basic application support (installation, uninstallation, patches)
Asset & eWaste Management
- Device wipe using client-approved software
- Secure storage for disposal vendor pickup
